Curriculum

Literacy

Small Wonders Preschool’s Montessori-inspired literacy program encourages children to learn by having fun! Using a step-by-step system of introducing new letters and playing a series of games, children learn all 26 letters of the alphabet using a “chunking” system to enable students to learn to write and read with more ease. This program uses a combination of visual, kinesthetic, and auditory learning and capitalizes on children’s natural inclination to play.

Mathematics

Montessori math sets a firm foundation in concrete principles before slowly progressing into abstraction. The materials allow children to visualize and manipulate numbers so children can develop a deep conceptual understanding that will later support more advanced mathematical concepts.

In addition to literacy and mathematics, children learn Bible stories and songs, participate in daily art experiences, develop fine-motor skills through sensory and play-based activities, and gross-motor skills through gymnastics classes.
